My mum and I share a couple of girlfriends - K and T – who love a good theme as much as we do. So a couple years ago we started a tradition. The birthday girl chooses a movie – and then we try to find a restaurant that goes with the movie. Saturday was K’s celebration. She chose Julie & Julia (stay tuned for the review); we chose a charming little bistro called “La Vie en Rose.”
A stroll along Main street led us to our destination …
Where we drank smooth, dark coffee …
Ate a delectable brunch …
And otherwise enjoyed each other’s company…
Good food. People you love. Now that, my friends, is the sweet life!
