Happy Earth day, dear readers! Any impressive plans to save the planet?
As you might have guessed, I’m more of a baby-steps kind of person. That said, my big goal is to remember my reuseable shopping bags every time I go shopping. Right now I’m about 80-30, in favor of forgetfulness.
I don’t see how I could forget them. They’re Bee-wise oilcloth bags. They’re bright and cheery; I receive compliments each time I use them. The last time it was from the cashier, who just happened to be a guy… he said they were awesome, then he got this far away look in his eyes. “Sorry,” he said, “I was drifting for awhile. But I swear, these bags remind me of something. I think maybe I had a toy made out of this material.” He chuckled to himself, and then continued bagging my groceries. I’m telling you, they’re good times had by all …
They’re also up to the task. I was given two, you see. I’ve been waiting to get more until I see the latest designs–I saw the material being considered and it was love. But the thing with two is even if you get ten-bags-worth of groceries, the cashier thinks she must put them all in your two bags. By the end, they’re so heavy you can barely drag them back to your car… then you need a fork lift to get them in the trunk.
And yet, my handles remain.
See what I mean? Hard to forget …
All the same, here’s to you and me and every little thing we do to help our home-away-from-home!

These are adorable. But, I need them BIG!
I do the same thing! I have a whole collection {it's now officially a collection} of cute re-usable bags! Why is it that I can remember to put them back in my car, but not bring them into the store with me? One day this is what it will come to ~ I'll drive to the beach, park, open my trunk and have a grocery bag sale!
Oh, a trunk show – cool!
