Well, hello there,
I awoke yesterday morning to a salmon colored sky. Splendorous, it was. So, I stuffed my feet in some clogs, threw a coat over my flannel pjs, grabbed my camera, and headed out the door. I fell into my car, before anyone might catch sight of me, and motored down the street, in search of a better view.
It didn’t take long. The brilliant color shone wide and bright between two apartment complexes. But it was the sky a few minutes later–as I began the drive back home–that captured my heart. It seemed so peaceful. The perfect start to the day.
Speaking of which, thank you all for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. They mean so much.
As is the case more oft than not, it was bitter sweet, heavy on the sweet.
I’m happy to report, the whole handkerchief bit was a huge success–though I would have needed octopus arms to catch all the tears. Geez.
That means today I’m looking a bit like a mole rat (fully clothed, naturally); and feel as though I’ve had a bit too much to drink (pity, I had nary a Bellini).
Thank God it’s Friday.
With that, may your day be a lovely start, to a bright, happy weekend!
