More totally random tidbits from my side of the fence…
Party on! Yes, my birthday celebration continues. I sipped an Eggnog latte this morning – a gift from a friend. I also received a whole parcel of goodies from my friend in Alaska. One especially delightful treat: Jeffrey Kacirk’s Altered English: Surprising Meanings of Familiar Words. They’re knowledge cards, don’t-ya-know – and they’re some good times. One side lists the word and definition (and where the definition was derived), the other side includes an example of the word in a sentence. For instance: Pecker. Courage, confidence (John Wilkinson, Leeds Dialect Glossary and Lore, London, 1924). His pecker was the only thing that kept Claude going in the face of possible failure. {snicker}
Moving right along …
On a mission. I’m on a mission to keep handwritten communications alive and well. With that in mind, I have a new site … http://www.myfelicitations.com/blog.html. It’s taken me months – MONTHS I tell you – to get this up and running. And I just discovered this morning that I can’t add pictures to the blog. *SOB!!!* So sad – yet I will try to go on. I’m telling you this because today’s post is important for those shipping packages internationally. If this is you, check it out. Also, if you like fancy papers and the like, the resource links are awe-some! If I do say so myself.
Next up, keeping books afloat (why are you laughing?) …
Why yes, I am nice, thanks for noticing. If you check out my new blog, you’ll notice my “Operation Nice” badge. I debated that one. I’m not really nice, per say. I can be kind … but there’s a slight chance my feistiness outweights kindness. Yet I like the idea of being nice! Then it hit me! Posting that I’m nice surely doesn’t count. It’s kinda like saying your humble. So. There you have it.
I have my sign, and I’m okay with it…
