A very special thanks to all who commented and sent emails my way – your kind thoughts and good wishes warmed my heart and put a smile on my face.
Saturday was okay. Actually, in terms of bawling, shedding tears, falling apart, etc. etc. we were stellar. STELLAR I tell you! Of course, it helped that the person in charge was very business-like … almost to the point of being rude. Which annoyed and appalled. But it kept me from crying – so there’s that.
We did have our moments … for me it was walking out onto the back patio. They had spread out a meal on the hot tub cover – like we did for every summer party at Dixi’s. I took one look and quickly turned the other direction.
We also laughed. I know Dixi would have done the same had she been there. She also would have told us to take heed – clean out your crap now, before it’s too late! We were sure to make note…whether or not it will actually happen, remains to be seen …
Yesterday, we went over to Kristen’s (Dixi’s sister’s) home to work in the yard. Thankfully some friends offered to help out – even at the last moment. If you happen to be one of them – and you’re reading this – know we love you! Heaps. *sigh*
After seven hours of digging, pulling, trimming, raking, and stuffing I’m one hurtin’ unit. *whimper* It’s no wonder … I’ve been doing nothing but work on projects at my computer all year. All. Year. Add carrying pavers and helping Manders fill in a wee pond to the mix and it’s a miracle I made it out of bed.
It was iffy. I was forced to do a Starbucks run just to work up the energy to make it to my computer. And I just realized my jumbo-large caramel macchiato is gone – GONE – how could that be?! *sob*
Yes it’s touch and go, my friends, touch and go …
In …. pain ….

Oh my word! It’s true … it really is…
The only thing that doesn’t hurt on my body is the top of my head. True story.
