Jules, of Pancakes and French Fries, started a great new series: the first of each month she’ll post photos from the month before—all with a color theme—and she’s asking us to join the fun. Totally unprepared, I decided to start in February. Then it hit me: some day down the road I’ll be looking through my photos from 2011 and think, “Great! I knew there was a month missing that year.” So here’s to nothin’ …
January started in grand fashion—in pajamas and feather masks, sipping bubbly and laughing. Then we boarded my family on a plane back to Sweden, and the days seemed to lose color from there. Not that they were bad mind you, just a little blah.
I wrote very little; read quite a lot. I whined and complained my way through the annual crud … finished editing a book on fitness, while sitting on my butt, drinking liquid candy bars and eating blueberry scones. The irony was not lost on me. I dreamed of exotic locals … celebrated friends … and played photographer. The weather played with us—blue skies, sunshine … frigid temps. Apparently it froze my shutter finger, for I have very little evidence of it all—and that which I do have is most unfortunate. Here’s hoping February has a bit more color …
oh…i love your month of white. beautiful pieces but i understand about the frozen shutter finger too. hope it is much happier soon.
January did have a color…all white! Which seems appropriate given all the "white stuff" we've been enjoying lately 🙂 And I have to agree on frozen "shutter fingers"! I blame that for lack of inspiration for pictures lately.
hihi. I see on the book/mug photo that you are still wearing thoose socky slippers I gave you 🙂
I really, really love this idea!!! I might have to join in the fun, too.
Thanks for commenting over at The Maddy Chronicles today!!! I hope you join us!
