Since I knew you were positively dying to know–my bleeding heart is coming up. Seeing how I always forget to plant my spring bulbs, it’s always the first sign of life in our flower beds.
A friend spotted it the other day and exclaimed, “It looks like asparagus!” My thoughts exactly. Although I must admit, when I went out to snap a photo, it seemed to have grown, right before my eyes. And now, oddly enough, it’s morphing itself into wee celery stocks. I’m simply amazed that I haven’t noticed this phenomenon before.
Perhaps I need to get out more.
But that it not the point of this post. The point, dear friends, is when I looked at the LCD screen I noticed my bleeding heart was not the only thing popping up. There was a flower–a real, honest-to-goodness flower. It’s the little things, is it not?
And that’s what I wish for you.
Some of you are ending spring break, others are just getting started–the rest of us fall somewhere in between. No matter where this weekend finds you, I pray your days are sprinkled with a little color, and happy surprises spring up where you least expect them …
Yaaaaay! a flower!!! 🙂
Good for you! I can never get anything to sprout when I plant things 🙂
Well, don't be too proud … it wasn't planted by seed. ACTUALLY, I didn't even plant it, come to think of it … my aunt did. HA! But I have, you know, weeded and watered … :)From: notifications@intensedebatemail.comTo: amosjo73@hotmail.comSubject: Magpie and Muttonfly – New comment on: Spring mix
I'll take asparagus or bleeding hearts. Both are wonderful.
