Sunflowers are convivial sorts. So bright and cheery, they’ll pop up in the most likely of places. You can abuse them, deny them love and water, yet they turn their heads toward the sun and smile all the same.
No wonder they symbolize hope, happiness–even peace. Things we could use nowadays, non?
If I could I would gather a big bouquet for each of you; I’d even include a good dose of these “Teddy Bear” sunflowers. Certainly they contain an extra dose of love.
Because looking back ten years, that’s what stands out most–love, compassion, dogged determination to stand in support of one another. These are things we mustn’t ever forget, lest the lives lost be in vain.
… a good weekend to you, my friends!
