Well, Saturday’s the day–March 17th. Any big plans?
I, for one, can hardly wait to eat Irish soda bread. It comes but once a year; it’s for the best. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that the recipe {below} is difficult or the bread so-so. Quite the contrary. The recipe is ridiculously easy and the end result so delectable, I could eat the whole loaf, by myself, in one sitting. I’m not even kidding. If I allowed myself to make it at any other time of the year, I’d surely weigh 500 pounds.
Now that I mention it, in terms of planning, I really haven’t gone beyond the eating of the bread. Hmm. Interesting.
Luckily, as holidays go, this one really doesn’t ask for much . . .
