I’m so hot. And not in a good way, I might add.
We’ve been weathering triple digits here in the city of trees–108 on Monday; 108 yesterday. Being a dry heat and all, we’re surrounded by red flag warnings. There’s little more to do than whine, sip copious amounts of peach iced tea, and move as little as possible, all while Heat Wave plays softly in the background.
Of course, I’m sure those of you who’ve been enduring continuous temps in excess of 110, with 90% humidity, feel so very sorry for me. As do you who would give anything for a little warmth. I chatted with my brother and sister-in-law in Sweden this week; it was inching toward 60 F in their hometown. With a lack of air conditioning, my brother rejoiced in the lower temps–my sister-in-law, not so much.
It’s always something, non?!
Speaking of which, happy Friday the 13th! That may seem an oxymoron, but I say take happiness wherever you can get it.
So to you, dear friends, a happy weekend–may you find it not too hot, not too cold, but just right.
. . . in other words, may the coming days be as a perfect summer day!
