You know when the pumpkin spice lattes make their appearance, autumn can’t be far behind. It’s due to join us Saturday, as a matter of fact.
Now I realize, there are those of you who don’t care to be reminded. The mere thought of cooler temps marching right into frigid, makes you want to cry in a vat of hot soup.
There, there brave pilgrim; now is not the time for tears. Just think of all the deep, rich colors . . . pumpkins and gourds . . . candles of all sizes and varieties . . . fresh baked breads . . . steaming mugs of goodness . . . the perfect backdrop for which to snuggle in with a good book.
See? Surely you feel better already. And we haven’t even touched upon sweaters yet! Cardigan, Aran Knit, Cashmere, Argyle–the possibilities are vast. You might even opt for something a little out of the ordinary, like this crop sweater with puffy sleeves by Denise’s Knits, Etsy . . .
A hint of vintage makes any season better, wouldn’t you agree?
So wrap up, and get ready for some of life’s finer pleasures. For that, my friends, is what autumn is all about.

Your attitude is infectious – this is exactly the mentality that I need to go into fall with
Oh good, I love it when I bring people to the Autumn side! 🙂
Oh I love poofy sleeves! I have one shirt with them and wear it all the time!
I do too–though I must watch it. My shoulders are not very wide, so if I\’m not careful I\’m all poof. And that\’s never good . . . 🙂
One of my favorite signs of autumn is the apple dumpling dessert at Silver Dollar City (local theme park). Yum!
My recent post Friday Faves
Yum! I believe mine is pumpkin chocolate chip bread, cake, cookies . . . etc. 🙂
