Don’t mind me, I’m just sitting here, getting ready for our annual Fall Extravaganza–shining my hair, curling my lashes, dusting off my party shoes . . .
OK, that’s not entirely true. I tend to look more the part of scarecrow than Autumnal debutante. But there’s a first time for everything; and certainly, these shoes will receive an invitation to next year’s festivities.
What about you? Have you partaken of your own fallish fête? And don’t even tell me you do no such thing because that’s just sad. Sad, I tell you! There’s so much goodness in so few months, it practically begs for celebration.
Also note, if you will, how fall is the perfect season to bake a cake–a cake people!
It’s a sign. Obviously.
So to you, I raise my glass–may the coming days be filled with all sorts of autumn goodness: good food and conversation, wrapped up in the comfort of good friends. And may you have just the reason to wear those party shoes . . .
Happiest of weekend greetings to you!
