Whoa, Nelly! In case you weren’t watching, last night’s election held a few tense moments–so close, and yet, so far away. I’ll give the outcome this much–due certain Facebook posts, I now know whom I {don’t} want in my raft in case of emergency. And that’s pretty much a win, no matter how you look at it.
Now, as Obama looks toward another term, I look to finishing off the year to the best of my ability. We are heading into the holiday season, you know. There are a few birthdays thrown in for good measure. It’s also Movember, “where selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery” all in an effort to raise funds for men’s health. I don’t know about your neck of the woods, but here in the U.S. money raised supports prostate and testicular cancer initiatives–efforts especially close to my heart.
So whether or not your candidate won–whether or not you care about U.S. elections–let’s raise a glass to ‘the man’ . . . specifically, let’s raise a glass to our men! They’re our fathers, brothers, sons–the guys we love. Then consider checking out the Movember website (linked, above)–learn more, register your ‘stache, donate. After all, doing our part, helping our fellow man, that’s what makes any country great!
Noel is doing "No shave November"…I guess that's not the same thing…
Loved this post today.
My recent post Keeping it Neutral
My cousin and one of his sons does \’No Shave November\”–and they look pretty darn wild and woolly by the end. So, good luck to Noel–and anyone who must claim him near the end of the month. HA! 🙂
