A commentary

Nineteenth century German Philosopher, Arthur Schopenhaur once said, The first forty years of life give us the text: the next thirty provide the commentary. If that be true then surely the best way to turn the chapter to the commentary of our lives is a trip away with the girls.

Awaking to frothy coffees and steaming teas.

Dancing and singing to road trip tunes.

A room with a view.

A wintertime picnic.

Meandering through the forest.

Lounging about in immersion pools, sipping strawberry mint water, and awaiting pedicures and massages.

Sitting on the floor, sharing cheese and wine and chocolate. Dinner, naturally.

A candlelight breakfast.

Talking, laughing, making memories.

The thought that perhaps turning forty is not so bad after all . . .

  1. I hear from a lot of people that 40 is when the fun really beings 🙂 glad to see you got a taste of that on your girl’s trip!
