OK fine, I’ll admit–I went into the weekend slightly grouchy. It’s my modus operandi when the temperatures go from cool to swelter in one fell swoop.
Lucky for us all, the weekend provided the solution to my sour disposition. Mainly, I got a few things marked off my list (plucked those pesky weeds from the ground cover, for instance); I started watching Copper (which I kinda love); and I laughed, a lot (though not while weeding or watching Copper, oddly enough).
Also, I found this little gem . . .
A wee film from 1944 called Groovie Movie, it offers a humorous look at the jitterbug.
So, if ever you’ve wanted to become skilled in that “rude American dancing,” if ever you’ve wondered what it would be like to a hepcat, this is the film for you. Also, it’s a mighty fine diversion.
With that, here’s hoping your week is unreal . . .
