My friend’s husband had to go to London this week, on business; my friend went along. While he attended meetings, she meandered the city.
And I? Well, I’ve been a total creeper, tagging behind on Instagram.
I’m sure she’s suprised when I like a photo–I’ve only liked every single one. But it’s true–the sights, the (imagined) sounds are just my cup of tea.
Speaking of which, the photos of afternoon tea may very well be my favorites. They’re so peaceful and lovely. They’ve served a good reminder that I need to slow it down a bit. For heaven’s sake, it’s August and I’ve cut flowers from the garden and brought them inside twice this summer. Twice, I tell you. All because I’m going this way and that, finishing this project or another. All the while, I’m missing out on the good stuff.
And that’s precisely what I wish for you in the coming days–an hour here and there to stop and soak in a bit of relaxation. Pour yourself a cup of goodness; chat with friends; read a good book; think a little, write a little; do a little something just for you. When all is said and done, may you find your cup runneth over with peace, and a good dose of joy.
Happy weekend, my friends!
