There’s one thing about being surrounded by fires this summer: it sure makes for a spectacular sunrise. If you catch it just right, you’ll find the sun comes up a deep, dark corral. Breathtaking, really.
Such was the case the other day as I returned from my morning walk. I caught a glimpse, between houses and amongst trees. Never have I walked that last leg quite so briskly. I ran through the front door, grabbed my camera and my keys, jumped in my car, and set off for the perfect view. Of course, once arrived, I found the sun had made friends with a group of clouds.
So there I sat, windows down, camera in hand, watching the sun rise. The only sound was the chirping of the birds. There was nary a body in sight–probably the best, as I may have looked something of a creeper.
Needless to say, if you have the chance to watch the sunrise, in the quiet of the morning, I highly recommend.
A lovely weekend to you, dear friends!
How ideal! And how clever of you to be able to move quick enough as the sun was rising to get this picture. And how admirable that you were out on a walk BEFORE the sun had come up. So impressive !
My recent post Summer May Be Over But I’ve Got Sunshine In My Pocket
Thank you, thank you . . . you're too kind. But it's true. I am pretty impressive. At least that's what I tell myself as I get off the comfy couch and leave my steaming cup of coffee behind. Sigh. 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to greet your mornings with a bright shining face like the sun 🙂
Thanks, Rooth!
You captured an incredible image.
My recent post Friday Faves
Oh, thank you! I was a little disappointed . . . it was a tad more spectacular in person. 🙂
Oh what Lovely Photo!!!
