Today marks the start of the Chinese New Year. We’ve now entered the year of the wood horse.
I plan to share a meal with my family. More than likely that meal will consist of Chinese-American fare; I’ll probably hope beyond hope for a cookie with good fortune, and raise a glass to moments of possibility.
Speaking of which, horses, you know, are known for their beauty and strength, speed and intelligence. True to form, a horse year means swift success, amazing adventures, and unexpected romance. Ooh-la-la! Sounds like a mighty fine year to me.
So to you dear readers, I hope you’ll take some time to at least plan to travel . . . that you’ll meander off the beaten path and have yourself a bit of adventure . . . that you’ll not just hope or dream, but get out there and get it done . . .
Victory + happiness to you, this weekend, and the whole year through!
