In science fiction, there’s often a bit of funny business associated with time. As it happens, I do believe I tripped upon a wormhole of some sort. You see, the deadlines of the last two weeks tended toward insanity. Night after night I sat at my computer, frantically typing away at one project or another; my cats yawning for all they’re worth in the background. Sure, I may have come away from the experience looking something of a vampire, but I did it . . . I met my deadlines. And I lived to tell the tale. Nothing short of a miracle, my friends. Nothing short of a miracle . . .
Sometimes you’ve just got to take a moment and be thankful.
In addition to the weekend, here are a couple more things I’ve found myself thankful for . . .
- Small celebrations that include White Claw Hard Seltzer. It’s like a party in your glass, without the headache or plugged nose.
- Laughter. Take this Everyday Makeup Tutorial from Tanya Hennessey, for example. Seriously, good times (also, pretty much the way I approach makeup — except for the brows. I don’t even attempt brows).
With that, I wish you good days ahead. May you make the most of your hours with much laughter and a hint of celebration.
